Letter to Grandma

Our challenge  was  to  write a letter from a  little boy named Bruno,Bruno lived in Berlin but his father got a job promotion and had to move houses in a horrbile place called Auschwitz(or how Bruno says it Out-with). Bruno was furious about moving because he was leaving two important people in his life his three bestfriends and his grandperants. Bruno wrote a letter to his grandma ,We did not no the exact letter he wrote so we made it up we worked in pairs.

Summer learning journey

Last week PBS had their Summer Learning Journey celebration assembly. Mrs Grant came and presented our certificates and prizes. My certificate is for participation. The SLJ was a fun activity to do because I could learn over the summer holidays My favourite activity was Mashas new leg because I like designing and decorating different items or things.

Our Math DLO focuses on learning how to read and write numbers For Example in the number 3,682,67 in the words  its 3,Six thousand and eighty two and sixty seven the number 3 is in the millions column. and if we want to write two million three hundred and fifty nine and thirty six its numrels would be 2,359,36.

On the first week of 2026 ls2 did an collabritve art where we chose a leader  our leader wille lolihea he was a leader of the polynesian panthers  my group had so much fun drawing his picture  we worked so slow but the outcome was perfect.

The lady who said “Kia ora”

Back in 1984 there was a lady called  Dame naida glavish she worked at a  telephone toll operator  meaning she answered phone calls other workers said hello but one day at may 24 1984 she  didn’t say hello instead she said kia ora she continued to use it, her manager noticed this and told her to stop but Dame said no and continued  The gonvermet noticed this and helped her culture grow this simple word left a big impact to New Zealand.
